Parking sensor technology is being introduced on a Colchester street by the North Essex Parking Partnership (NEPP).

Twenty-four sensors have been installed on the limited-time parking bays along Crouch Street West, as part of a pilot scheme.

The sensors detect whether a parking bay is occupied by a vehicle. The data is then communicated to NEPP’s systems in real-time to better understand the usage of the parking bays in Crouch Street West.
