End is nigh for Scottish hospital parking charges

Hospital car parking charges will end permanently in Scotland after the Scottish government struck deals to buy out the car parks at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee and Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Negotiations are also underway to take over the car park at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Charges at the hospitals were suspended last March so that NHS staff did not have to pay to park during the pandemic.
