Gloucestershire County Council is planning a circa £300m road improvement near Tewkesbury.
The council is preparing the outline business case for the M5 Junction 9/A46 Ashchurch improvement scheme.
A funding bid will be submitted to the DfT’s Large Local Majors (LLM) Fund and, possibly, the Government’s new Levelling Up Fund.
