Hitrans, the Highlands and Islands transport partnership, has been awarded £1.5m to deliver 24 rapid electric vehicle charging points in western Scotland. The chargers will be installed in Lochaber, Skye and Lochalsh, Argyll & Bute, and on the Western Isles. Hitrans is to recruit two members of staff to assist with the programme.
