Councillors in South Gloucestershire have approved a £56.9m funding package to extend the Metrobus bus rapid transit network. The Cribbs Patchway Metrobus extension will connect the Cribbs Causeway shopping centre with Bristol Parkway railway station via the Cribbs Patchway New Neighbourhood where 5,700 dwellings and 50 hectares of new employment land are planned.
