Sheffield City Council has launched a consultation on introducing a Class C charging clean air zone (CAZ) in the city centre from early 2021.
Daily charges would apply to taxis, private hire vehicles, vans, lorries, buses and coaches driving in the zone that fail to meet the CAZ standard. The charge for taxis, PHVs and vans would be £10 and the charge for buses, coaches and lorries £50.
The minimum standards would be:
