The Treasury has pledged up to £20m to the West Midlands Combined Authority to create a UK Mobility Data Institute. It will be a joint venture with Warwick Manufacturing Group, a research organisation within the University of Warwick.
The research centre will collect, process and analyse transport data generated by new mobility technologies, including connected and autonomous vehicles.
