Councils are proposing a major investment in transport on the west side of Cambridge.
The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP), the delivery body for the area’s city deal, wants a park-and-ride site at junction 11 of the M11; an extra lane on the M11 by making it a smart motorway; and a major improvement to the Girton Interchange north-west of Cambridge, where the A14, A428 and M11 intersect.
