Transport for London is to remove the 1960s roundabout at Old Street as part of a joint project with the London boroughs of Islington and Hackney. Works to transform the road layout will commence late next year. The new road layout will feature two-way traffic, segregated cycle lanes, traffic signals, and surface level pedestrian crossings.
