Greater Manchester’s elected mayor Andy Burnham will use a speech next month to set out his vision for the conurbation’s bus network.
Burnham gave a flavour of his thinking in the keynote address to the Local Transport Summit in Greater Manchester last week.
“We are going to make use of the powers to re-regulate buses,” he said, adding that he would consider all the powers in the Bus Services Act 2017. “But be certain: buses are going to change.”
