Worcestershire County Council has awarded Buckingham Group Contracting plc a design and build contract for Worcester Parkway rail station about 3.5 miles south-east of the city (LTT 24 Jun 16). The station will lie on the intersection of the Birmingham-Cheltenham and London Paddington-Oxford-Worcester railways at Norton, about 1.3 miles south-east of junction 7 of the M5.
