Transport will be one of the sectors to benefit from a new £23bn five-year National Productivity Investment Fund announced by the Chancellor this week.
The fund, which will operate from 2017/18-2021/22, was one of the highlights of Philip Hammond’s first Autumn Statement, having been appointed Chancellor this summer.
