Six local authorities in South East Scotland are forming a shadow joint committee to explore collaboration opportunities in road maintenance and road safety.
The committee will comprise: Edinburgh, Midlothian, West Lothian, East Lothian, Scottish Borders and Fife. A formal joint committee could be formed within 12 months of the shadow committee being set up.
