Argyll and Bute Council is urging Transport Scotland to find a permanent solution to the landslips that afflict the A83 trunk road to Argyll at Rest and Be Thankful. The most recent landslip occurred in late October, with heavy rain blamed for 2,000 tonnes of material falling down the hillside. A debris fence prevented much of the material reaching the road.
