Transport for London has hailed emission test results from its New Bus for London. Tests using a vehicle that has been in passenger service for eight months found nitrogen oxide emissions of 2g per km, compared with fleet averages of 7.7g for hybrid buses and 9.3g for diesel buses; 690g of CO2 per km, compared with fleet averages of 864g from hybrid buses and 1,295g for diesel buses; and 0.012g of particular matter per km, compared with a fleet average of 0.048g for hybrid and diesel buses.
