Stansted Airport has closed its forecourt to set-down passengers, and is now charging £2 for up 10 minutes at its new Express Set-down area next to the terminal. There is a maximum stay of 15 minutes, with a £50 penalty charge after that time.
There is still a free set-down and pick-up area at the mid-stay car park, which is free for the first 30 minutes, with a charge of £1 for stays of up to two hours. Passengers are transported to the terminal by shuttle bus.
