More than 5,000 drivers have been caught speeding on a stretch of the A358 in Somerset because they were unaware that a 30mph speed applies, according to Conservative county councillor David Fothergill. He pointed to a lack of 30mph signage on the roads approaching the M5 roundabout, when traffic joins the A358 dual carriageway from the direction of Ilminster and Yeovil.
