Atkins has won design contracts to increase safety, functionality and comfort for travellers on the Oslo Metro rapid transit system. The work includes a section upgrade on one line, station modernisation and the redesign of two depots and workshops for the tram and metro in Oslo. The contract reinforces Atkins’s growth in Scandinavia. Other contracts include work on the first roll-out of a country-wide ERTMS system in Denmark and the design of new lines in Norway....
