Southern has launched a pilot of its new smartcard, the key, at all stations on the line from Brighton to Seaford. Around 100 passengers, stakeholders and Southern staff are taking part in the three-month pilot. They will offer feedback to allow the system to be refined before it is rolled out across the rest of Southern’s network next year and potentially link up with bus travel.
