The Yorkshire and Humber Regional Transport Board has approved the inclusion of North East Lincolnshire Council's £7m link road between the A18 and A180 in the Regional Funding Allocation, making use of some of the estimated £254m headroom available up to 2015/16. The scheme will remove through traffic from the village of Stallingborough and improve HGV access to Immingham from the south.
