Competing bus company teams up with ATW

A bus operator competing with the Conwy Valley rail line has answered critics by doubling service frequency and arranging joint ticketing with Arriva Trains Wales.

Express Motors angered local officials last year when it launched its X1 service between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Llandudno, initially on Saturdays only but later on Tuesdays and Thursdays also. This summer the service increased to daily except Sundays. The bus ran at the same times as the trains, calling at the same places.
