Eurostar scores passenger record, but losses continue

EUROSTAR UK, the company responsible for the UK’s share of the cross-channel rail services between London, Paris and Brussels via the Channel Tunnel, recorded reduced operating losses of £120.5m in the year to December 31 2007, according to its annual accounts.

The company saw the completion and opening of the new fast link to the Channel  during the year, and moved its terminal northwards from Waterloo to St Pancras last November, which had limited time to impact on these...
