What have rules and regs done for the buses?

The value of buses is starting to get noticed by some areas of business, but seem to be undermined by the government or thwarted by EU regulations, says Peter Shipp. He reflects on some of the recent policies

Because buses are so vital to the life of a community I have made a point of being involved in general and business issues in the EYMS area. This is not least through active membership of the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce, which I believe has helped promote a move away from an approach which prioritises cars and car parking to one where public transport is now at least on the agenda.
