Bus design winners revealed but Labour brands it ‘vanity project’

Labour members of the London Assembly have branded mayor Boris Johnson’s New Bus for London design competition as a nothing more than a “vanity project”.
The group made its attack as the capital’s mayor announced that the competition had been jointly won by luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin, in partnership with architecture firm Foster + Partners, and vehicle design firm Capoco. Both scoop a £25,000 prize for their respective winning designs.
