PayByPhone rolls out NFC payment in SF

PayByPhone has started a major deployment of NFC (Near Field Communications) payment systems in the USA.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is adding NFC-enabled stickers to the city’s 30,800 parking spaces to give drivers the option to pay for parking using NFC-enabled mobile phone in addition to mobile apps and mobile web for regular phones. All the meters continue to accept payment with coins.
