Torbay will use parking to help plug budget cuts

Torbay Council will have to cut £11m from its 2012/13 budget due to its central government funding being cut for a second year. Measures to generate extra income include raising on-and-off street parking charges, expanding the resort’s on-street pay & display areas and increasing parking charges for annual permit holders.
