Cornwall's new staff parking scheme uses mobile phones

Cornwall Council is to tighten up staff and councillors’ use of free parking passes at council-owned car parks.The council said that there was no evidence of abuse of the more than 200 passes in current use. The authority added that the parking scheme is unwieldy to operate, with four distinct pre-paid regimes generating hundreds of parking claims which require processing.
