Standard Life buys Sheffield multi-storey

Investor acquires Q-Park managed Sheffield car park

Standard Life has bought the Q-Park Rockingham Street car park in Sheffield. This is a still unusual example of an institutional investor acquiring a standalone car park as opposed to one attached to a specific shopping centre.

Standard Life has paid Cordwell Property Group £13m for the 531-space car park, which is located to the west of the city centre and close to Sheffield University and the office district.

It features 9,300ft2 of retail on its ground level.
