Network Rail is on the right track

Network Rail has created a series of new car parks on the West Coast Mainline run by Virgin Trains, reports Patrick McDonnell

A series of new multi-storey car parks has been built by Network Rail as part of a £90m upgrade of parking facilities along the West Coast Mainline, which runs between London Euston and Glasgow Central. The route, which is operated by Virgin Trains, is one of the busiest rail lines in the UK, and a lack of adequate parking facilities at key stations was regarded as suppressing passenger numbers.
