Bradford cameras fight congestion and crime

PIPS Technology has supplied the City of Bradford with a comprehensive automatic numberplate recognition (ANPR) system consisting of more than 90 cameras.

The system will be used by the council for measuring journey time and by West Yorkshire Police to monitor vehicles that may have been involved in criminality in and around the city.

As the area covered is relatively small, the system has been able to cover all routes in and out of the city with ANPR technology.
