The role

Reporting to the Principal Statistician, you’ll collect and interpret a variety of travel and transport data to inform policy decisions. This will include specifying surveys and developing innovative data management tools, methodologies and techniques. Building effective relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation will be a crucial part of the job.

What you’ll need

The role calls for an excellent grasp of statistical techniques, quantitative research methods and survey requirements supported by practical experience of data collection, processing and analysis relating to travel and transport. Highly developed communication, problem solving and report writing skills will be required and you should be capable of translating complex technical issues into plain English.
