Torbay pulls plug on camera car

Torbay Council is to take its parking enforcement car out of service because it is losing money and is “unpopular”. The camera car issued 364 penalty charge notices last year. The car, which began operation in May 2012, generated £10,828 in fine revenue but cost £14,000 to run.
