Lib Dems want Heathrow downgrade and central England international airport hub
The Liberal Democrats want to find a location in central England for the UK's international hub airport, allowing Heathrow's status to be downgraded.
The Liberal Democrat conference voted to back a motion tabled by Julian Huppert MP, the chair of the party's parliamentary committee on transport, that the UK's hub capacity needs to be maintained but that this should be provided in central England, if a suitable location can be found.
