Sheffield’s £2bn PFI finance signed off

Sheffield City Council’s £2bn highway maintenance PFI has reached financial close with Amey, its private sector contractor for the 25-year contract. Amey will start work this month bringing Sheffield’s highway network up to a high standard within the first five years of the contract and then maintain this standard for the remaining 20 years.
