Residents get say on Cambs streetlighting
Cambridgeshire County Council and its streetlighting private finance initiative contractor Balfour Beatty will give parish councils a choice where possible on which lighting columns are replaced and which removed.
The council and provider have agreed to “enhanced communication” after complaints from councillors and residents that lighting levels had been reduced without consultation under the contract to renew the county’s lighting stock.
