Maintenance funding confirmed
The?DFT has confirmed the previously indicative capital allocations for local authorities to spend on highways maintenance and integrated transport schemes up to 2015. The move came after the Potholes Review commissioned by local transport minister Norman Baker urged the Government last month to give funding certainty so that authorities could plan investment programmes over a longer period (LTT 13 April).
