Nottingham tram extensions and parking levy at risk in local elections

The construction of extensions to the Nottingham Express Transit tram system could depend on the outcome of next week's local elections in the city. The proposed workplace parking levy that would part-fund the extensions has also become an election issue.

Labour and the Lib Dems both support the construction of the two extensions to the NET system, from the city centre to Beeston and Chilwell, and to Clifton. The project is being jointly promoted by Nottingham city and Nottinghamshire county...
