London parking ticket numbers fall

The number of tickets issued to people illegally parking across London between 1 April 2004 and 31 March 2005 fell by 178,596 to just over five million, according to new figures released by the Association of London Government. However, at the same time a total of 835,454 tickets were issued to motorists using bus lanes, an increase of 77,942 on the year before.
