Hints of U-turn on third Heathrow runway grow ever-stronger in media

It is becoming increasingly taken as read in the papers that the Government is going to rethink its airport expansion stance, with even rail spending claimed as a clue that this is about to happen. Rik Thomas reports

Justine Greening’s continuing opposition to expanding Heathrow probably isn’t doing her career as a government minister any good, The Daily Mail has suggested

The notion that the Government is thinking hard about its current commitment not to sanction a third runway at Heathrow was increasingly extensively highlighted in the media in early July.
