“Needless. Mindless. Useless. Embarrassing.” This is the title of John Dales ‘Comment’ piece in the last issue, presumably regarding the signing that was shown in his six exhibits.
As far as I can tell only one of his photographs shows signs on the public highway and it is extremely doubtful if these were placed, or authorised, by a competent person. They are more likely the work of untrained operatives employed by the lowest-bid contractor working for a utility...
