Local Enterprise Partnerships: congestion busting role
The DfT plans to work with a “small number” of Local Enterprise Partnerships to tackle traffic congestion. The White Paper is sketchy on the detail but says the Department wants to work with the selected LEPs on a joint approach to the worst congestion hotspots in the major urban areas affecting both the local and national strategic networks. The delivery date for this work is given as “mid 2012”.
