Make us the sustainable travel city – Merseyside

The Merseyside conurbation submitted its bid this week to become England’s first sustainable transport city (LTT 22 May). 

The DfT has pledged up to £29m over three years to the successful city or cities (up to £8.5m in 2009/10, up to £7.35m in 2010/11 and up to £13m in 2010/11).
