Essex town’s seafront to get first 20mph average speed camera scheme for road safety

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is to become the first local authority to use average speed cameras to enforce a 20mph speed limit for road safety. The council is installing the SPECS3 system, supplied by Vysionics, along the seafront on Marine Parade and Western Esplanade.
