Hackney's civil enforcement officers go in strike

Civil enforcement officers will not be patrolling the streets of Hackney in East London on 3-4 August as they strike a dispute over pay and conditions.

The 30 employees, members of Unite, will strike against APCOA Parking, runs the servive under contract for Hackney council. The vote for strike action was 100%.

Unite says that the CEOs have worse pay, and terms and conditions than council staff.  “The main issue is that there is no company sick pay policy with APCOA Parking,”...
