David Edmeades, a former manager at Smart Parking, has been jailed for 18 months after he admitted to embezzling £45,000 from the company over a three-year period.
Edmeades, who was Smart’s PCN enforcement manager, was sentenced at Perth Sheriff Court on 15 July.
He joined Smart Parking in 2000, aged 29, after serving in the armed forces. He was recruited to set up a notice administration and appeals service for the company, which was then called Town & City Parking.
