Matt Eglinton, Head of Local Highways Policy at the DfT, has stepped down after nearly five years in the role. He has moved to DfT’s Blue Badge policy team.
Having started in the department as a private secretary between 2015 and 2017, working with John Hayes when he was a transport minister, Eglinton became Senior Policy Advisor and Consultation Manager at the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles.
He subsequently moved on to become Highways Innovation and Resilience Manager at the DfT, before becoming Head of Local Highways Policy in 2020.
