Parking attendants in Edinburgh are taking part in a new training scheme to offer first aid to heart attack victims on-street. Under the British Heart Foundation initiative Heartstart UK, the NSL employees will be trained in basic emergency life support skills. The day course was launched following two recent incidents in Edinburgh when on-street staff witnessed members of the public having heart attacks.
