Howarth leaves Blackpool as concessionary fares bite
Blackpool Transport has announced that its operations director, Oliver Howarth, is to leave the company in August as part of a package of savings required because of deep cuts in the concessionary reimbursement rates paid to the company by the consortium of Lancashire district councils.
Other posts at Blackpool Transport are also going in a bid to cut overheads. Howarth, who has worked for BTS since 2004, joined from being a self-employed consultant, and is current Bus Manager of the Year....
