First signs bumper bus deal with Wrightbus

First has formally signed a bumper new bus order with Ballymena-based manufacturer Wrightbus that is worth in excess of £125m over a multi year period. The order adds to the 1,500 new Wrightbus vehicles that the Aberdeen-based transport group has purchased over the last five years.

The bulk of the order calls for both single and double deck buses on Volvo chassis, but it also includes nine new Wrightbus double  deck buses, five of which are hybrids.
