Four bidders make up TfL’s shortlist for North London Railway contract

Transport for London this week named the four companies that it has shortlisted for the contract to operate the North London Railway and extended East London Line.

Govia, National Express, MTR Laing and Nedrail will receive an invitation to tender later this year after clearing the prequalification process. But FirstGroup, the UK’s largest train operator and Serco, the operator of the Docklands Light Railway, have failed to get past the first hurdle.
